Want to do something truly meaningful alongside your studies/research at TU/e? As a member of the Studium Generale (SG) Board Committee, you’ll help shape the cultural, scientific, societal, and personal development of students, staff, and other visitors to the Studium Generale programs. From inspiring lectures to concerts, theater, films, and exhibitions; your input will directly influence the programs that reach over 21,000 visitors each year.
What will you do?
As a Board Committee member, you’ll:
- Advise on the vision, policy, and strategy of Studium Generale.
- Think broadly about how our programs can add value, challenge perspectives, and spark curiosity.
- Play an active role in strengthening SG’s impact on the cultural and societal development and engagement of students and other visitors
- Join four meetings a year and participate in SG programs on a regular basis.
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for enthusiastic TU/e students, PhDs, or EngDs who:
- Are available for at least one academic year.
- Are curious, committed, and eager to broaden horizons.
- Can contribute with fresh ideas, a critical perspective, and the courage to speak up.
- Enjoy engaging with culture, science, and society.

Time commitment
About 20 hours per year for (approx. 4) meetings, preparation, and networking, plus a strong presence at SG events (which is the fun part!).
