SG Tip: Talk Talk Talk by Dutch Design Foundation

Curious about the future of our planet, living environment, and digital world through the eyes of leading designers? Then don’t miss the Talk Talk Talk sessions by the Dutch Design Foundation. This March, you can attend three inspiring talks for free, featuring speakers like Audrey Large (Object with Love e.a.), Bob Hendrikx (Loop Biotech), and Teun Zwets.

After the talks, take the opportunity to connect with designers, studios, and professionals from ASML and Dutch Design Week, discuss their work, and share your own ideas and ambitions.

Two Talks at TU/e
Studium Generale especially recommends these two talks, conveniently hosted on the TU/e campus:

  • Talk Talk Talk: About Our Digital Future & Responsible Use of Technology
    Tuesday, March 11 | 16:00 - 17:30 (doors open at 15:30 PM) | Drinks from 17:30 PM
Location: Corona Hall, Luna TU/e (click here for a location map)

This talk will be in English.

This session is led by Audrey Large, who researches digital cinema and image theory, translating her insights into physical objects. She explores the boundary between digital and tangible, using animation and 3D software as design tools while treating digital images as raw material. Her work intuitively balances technology, form, and function, with color creating a tactile, almost surreal effect.

  • Talk Talk Talk: About Our Thriving Planet & Climate Action
    Thursday, March 20 | 16:00 - 17:30 (doors open at 15:30 PM) | Drinks from 17:30 PM
Location: Coronazaal, Luna TU/e (click here for a location map)

This talk will be in English.

Led by Bob Hendrikx, founder of Loop Biotech, this talk explores his pioneering work in sustainable funerals. By using mycelium, he creates living coffins and urns that naturally return the body to the earth. His mission? To transform cemeteries into thriving forests and make death part of a circular ecosystem.

More Talks
On Thursday, March 13, you can also attend a Dutch-language Talk by Teun Zwets at Sint Lucas (Strijp-S), focusing on our living environment.
