This year, TU/e celebrates its 70th anniversary. At the same time, the university is launching a pilot for a new heritage policy. To mark this moment, the Curator Art & Heritage team is inviting students, staff, alumni, and everyone connected to the university to help shape the story of TU/e.
As part of the project, a long list is being compiled of objects, traditions, events, scientific breakthroughs, and memorable moments that define the university’s history. A selection of these stories will later be featured in the online exhibition series The Big Five.
Think of iconic moments such as the Chomsky–Foucault debate on campus in 1971, a lamp sent to the International Space Station in 2002, or student-led design projects that left a lasting mark on campus. But also scientific discoveries and innovations that changed industries and impacted society.
What do you think deserves a place in TU/e’s collective memory?
