Olga Coolen new Head of Studium Generale

We searched… and we found.

With great enthusiasm, we are happy to announce that Olga Coolen will join TU/e as the new Head of Studium Generale as of November 1.

You may know Olga as the driving force behind the Philips Museum in Eindhoven, which she has led since its opening in 2013 and turned into a cultural hotspot attracting visitors from all over the world. Before that, she built a rich career in the cultural sector, with key roles in museums, publishing, and events.

“We are delighted to have found someone of her caliber to succeed Lucas,” says Eric van der Geer-Rutten-Rijswijk, Director of the General Affairs department. “She has a wealth of experience in the cultural sector, brings with her a large network, and knows the region particularly well. We are confident that Olga will help make Studium Generale even more important and impactful when it comes to the cultural exposure we are offering to our community and beyond. I wish Olga all the best in her new role.”

We look forward to continuing to shape Studium Generale together with Olga. Welcome to SG, Olga!

At the same time, this also means we will soon say goodbye to our current Head, Lucas Asselbergs. For sixteen years, Lucas has given Studium Generale direction, sharpness, and inspiration. That deserves a fitting farewell, so stay tuned for the special activities we have planned in November.
