Update! Because of the bad weather, Conduct festival has moved to the Lucid.Bar. You're welcome to join at the Laplace building.
Dear party people,
This marvelous Mini Music Festival is intended for every joyful soul that wanders on the TU/e campus. Thursday the 14th of September the Fluxveld will be transformed into the CONDUCT festival. There will be two stages where electronic acts will demonstrate their skills on synthesizers, drum pads, samplers. While those performers catch their breath, side activities are organized.
All those festivities in the sun will of course make you hungry and thirsty, but a bar and food stand will keep you up on your feet so you can behold the stunning ornaments and interactive decorations.
SG and study association Lucid join forces to bring you this ill shit. The acts Tempodooloo and Bagdaddy are brought to you by us.
Tempodooloo is the electronic music project by Thijs Bastiaans, drummer for bands like Femme Vanille and Stefan Schöler Trio.
He debuted with a one hour long, fully improvised live set at the 2016 Amsterdam Dance Event. But exactly that is his comfort zone.
By playing and composing musical ideas in real time, mixed together with bits of jazz, world music and guilty pleasures, he is taking the listener into his musical universe. Through that approach he is exploring all kinds of corners of electronic music. Gritty grime, trippy ambient, funky techno or deep emotional house are some of the musical output to be expected. But every live set is completely different…
Bagdaddy, a girl born in Bagdad and raised in the Netherlands, is a familiar face in the musicbizz. Running her own label and ‘middle-finger-movement’ Bagdaddy Records & promotor at ‘t Stroomhuis. This creative breeding ground saw also the birth of her first tracks, which she recorded in the summer of 2016 with Cairo Liberation Front-producer Yannick Verhoeven.
Sincerely yours,
