Discover the poet in yourself! In this 2-session workshop, you will focus on reading and talking about poetry, as well as writing poetry yourself.
Unfortunately this workshop has to be postponed to a later time this year. We will communicate the new date in due time on this website and via our social media channels.
The workshop sessions will be led by Dr. Kila van der Starre, University Utrecht, who specializes in poetry “off the page” in the Netherlands and Flanders. She is interested in the ways people use poetry in their daily lives and the relationship between the medium and the meaning of poetry. Van der Starre's research focuses on poetry in public areas (street poetry), on social media (Instagram poetry), on bodies (poetry tattoos), on objects (poetry products by Plint), on the radio (Candlelight poetry) and in newspapers (poetry in obituaries).
Her dissertation Poëzie buiten het boek. De circulatie en het gebruik van poëzie (with a summary in English) can be downloaded as a free e-book.
This workshop will be held online and is only accessible for students. More details will be provided after you have registered.
