But how do attention and concentration actually work? Is it really possible to focus on more than one thing at a time? And what are proven ways to stay focused in an age of constant distraction?
Dutch attention-expert prof. dr. Stefan van der Stigchel will tell you all you need to know about attention and concentration. He will explain the inner workings of focus, debunk common myths, and share practical strategies to help you stay focused on the things that truly matter.
Stefan van der Stigchel is Professor of Cognitive Psychology at the Department of Experimental Psychology at Utrecht University and principal researcher of the research group AttentionLab. He has conducted extensive research on attention and concentration and is the author of several books, including How Attention Works (2019), Concentration (2020), Grip Op Je Aandacht (2020) and Beter leren kijken (2024).
