Great Catch is an evening of short, surprising performances that show just how bold, playful and relevant contemporary circus has become. Expect innovative acrobatics, sharp humor, flamboyant drag and powerful personal stories.
In Great Catch you meet a new generation of circus artists who stretch and reinvent what circus can be Three short performances, selected by the Circus Coalition, explore the boundaries of circus.
House of Circus opens with an explosive mix of circus where drag, glitter, humor, and vulnerability collide in performances about self-expression, strength and gender identity. In SPOTLIGHT, performers fight for their moment to shine.
Next, the innovative trio Knot on Hands draws you into a hypnotic movement language full of breathtaking acrobatic discoveries. They question possibilities and impossibilities, use space as a dynamic partner, and constantly reinvent roles and relationships.
Finally, Fenja Barteldres uses her Cyr wheel in a unique way: without screws. This turns the wheel into an unstable, sometimes distorted object. In Cyrrealism, a poetic world unfolds in which she must constantly reinvent herself.
