These are the Names is a unique music-theater performance in complete darkness, based on the acclaimed novel by Tommy Wieringa. This immersive experience draws you into a world of stories and music, where light and shadow are replaced by sound and imagination, awakening all the senses.
Renowned Dutch actor and narrator Thom Hoffman guides the audience on a journey through the story. His voice, combined with the evocative live music of the Storioni Trio (Wouter Vossen on violin, Marc Vossen on cello, and Bram van de Roer on piano), deepens the emotion and meaning behind every word. The music not only underscores the narrative but also creates space for reflection and brings the tension of the story to life.
Filled with existential questions and profound themes, the story unfolds in a mysterious atmosphere, made even more intense by the absence of light. In the dark, words and sounds reach the audience in their purest, most affecting form.
Storioni Festival
