Super Silent Disco
The Sound of Silence
It’s party-time! Where? At ‘The Sound of Silence’, our own silent disco. A silent disco is an event where people dance to music listened to on wireless headphones. Rather than using a speaker system, music is broadcast via a radio transmitter with the signal being picked up by wireless headphone receivers worn by the participants. Those without the headphones hear no music, giving the effect of a room full of people dancing to nothing.
And why is this one ‘super’? Normally you’ve got about 50 headphones: we‘ve got 200! Normally you’ve got 2 channels to listen to: we’ve got 3! And the channels are Super-‘S’: The ‘S’ of Spotify-playlist chosen live by you; the ‘S’ of a Student-DJ who will spin his tracks live; and the ‘S’ of Surprise. Are you ready for the Sound of Silence? Dance till you drop!
Students have free admission, others pay €5,-
