"Small prize of the Netherlands"
A lot of famous acts started small. That certainly applies to musicians. Before they stormed the stadiums and hit parades, they were on that small stage or in that one talent show where it all started. Tonight it’s THE music contest for Eindhoven’s student bands. Complete with jury and prizes.
Come and enjoy:
Flying Swordfish. This blues punk trio with a sound that’s loud, rough and dirty and with the original line-up: combined drummer and vocalist, harmonica and bass with fuzz. Conclusion: guitars aren’t essential for a sound that grooves.
Hideous Hare, Singer-songwriter, a great guitar sound and unique vocals.
Plugged Out are a guitarist and a singer. “Nice boys with nice songs.”
Smoking Chimneys, rock and the band’s motto: “Damn it, we’re not a jazz band!”.
