Come by to learn to repair your bike, phone, laptop, clothing, you name it, with help of your fellow students.
You’ve surely experienced it yourself already too many times: your (insert any item applicable) is broken, doesn’t work anymore or is damaged. How easy would it be to throw it away and buy a new one? However, it would be much more sustainable to actually repair it. During the whole Green Week, you can come by GO Green Office in Atlas to help yourself, or help others with repairing. This all in the pleasant setting of a Repair Café. Furthermore, you can attend valuable and often essential lessons related to Dutch student life, such as ‘how to fix a tire’.
The concept is simple: the café is part of the Green Week and is open every day during the week from 12:00 to 14:00 with students ready to help you out with their specific repairing experience. The goal of the event is to exchange knowledge between students on how to repair, eventually decreasing the amount of materials that we throw away and decreasing the inconvenience of not knowing how to repair after all. If you want to help us out with your specific expertise, let us know by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.

This week is organized in collaboration with GO Green Office. GO Green Office TU/e makes the university’s sustainability vision tangible in the everyday reality of its students and staff members. This is the platform where students and employees with fresh minds connect to shape inspiring ideas and launch projects at the TU/e, all with the objective to stimulate the sustainability transition.
