Spice up your wardrobe and clear out your old items. At our Clothing Swap you can exchange your clothes with fellow students. Ready, set, swap!

Shopping responsibly is hard: ‘It's too expensive, it’s not my style, it’s hard to find’, the list of reasons can go on and on. But one of the most responsible ways to shop is free and allows you to chill with your friends: the clothing swap. Spruce up your closet without shelling out a penny and give clothes a second life so they don't end up in the landfill. Everyone wins.

This is how it works: between 12:00 and 14:00 you can hand in the items you would like to swap. For each item you get a token that you can use later on to “buy” new items. Each person may turn in 10 pieces of clothing and 5 accessories. We will sort all of the items (clean and intact) that we receive and from 15:30 the market will be open to anyone with a token to browse all of the items on display. You “pay” with the tokens that you received for the items you donated.

This clothing swap is part of the Green Week. By now, everyone knows that we have a problem if we don’t do something about climate disruption soon. Sustainability is everywhere. But rather than talking about CO2 and airplane taxes, we want to do something ourselves. That is why this week will be bursting with activities that focus on solutions, on what we can do locally, and making our everyday lives a bit greener.

This week is organized in collaboration with GO Green Office. GO Green Office TU/e makes the university’s sustainability vision tangible in the everyday reality of its students and staff. This is the platform where students and employees with fresh minds connect to shape inspiring ideas and launch projects at the TU/e, all with the objective to stimulate the sustainability transition.
