The corona measures have an enormous impact on your student life. Together with Erik Roebroek, founder of Meaningful Work, we discuss personal experiences of studying in Corona times, the lessons we have learned from this extraordinary situation already, and how to empower ourselves to create a meaningful student life these days.

This workshop consists of two sessions (2nd session optional). Registration is required. You can register until Monday 25 May, 11 am. Participants will receive a small questionnaire by email to prepare for the workshop.

This workshop is only accessible to students of universities and of universities of applied sciences (HBO), and to PhD students and PDEng trainees (from technical and non-technical universities) up to the age of 30. When making the reservation, please select 'student'.

Studying in your student room instead of at Metaforum, not seeing your friends and teachers on campus, proctoring, postponed internships and study tours, closed societies and bars in the city… the impact of the corona measures on study and student life is huge. Everyone is trying to make the best of it.

Now that we’re in this extraordinary experience for a few months, it is time for some reflection. What have you learned from studying at home, together with your roommates, back at your parents’ house, or sitting alone in your studio? What are the things you miss, what do you actually appreciate and what have you come to understand about yourself? How is your intrinsic motivation for your study and studying in Eindhoven affected by the corona event, and what lessons do you want to share and take with you to the future? In this workshop of two sessions we will discuss these questions together, dive into the theory behind (study) happiness and learn how to empower ourselves to create a meaningful student life in Corona times!

Erik Roebroek (former student at TU/e) is the founder of Meaningful Work, an organization that is on a mission to rethink work happiness: from profit and growth towards added value and employee happiness and from classical boring offices towards engaged and inspired work environments. He provides workshops, seminars and consulting for both individuals and organizations, in order to build careers and organizations that make sense.
