Lecture

Integration in the Netherlands I sold out

Prof. dr. Han Entzinger
Wednesday, May 11 2011, 11:45 AM - 1:00 PM (sold out)
Blauwe Zaal Auditorium

The debate about the integration of immigrants has been raging in The Netherlands since Pim Fortuyn and has only become more intense with the rise of Geert Wilders and his Freedom Party (PVV). There is however still no consensus on the definition of integration.

Sociologist and professor of migration and integration studies at Erasmus University Rotterdam, Han Entzinger invites you to discuss and explore the meaning of integration. He was one of the founders of the so-called ‘inburgeringscursussen’ (civic integration courses) and has been an important policy adviser for many years. He is a member of Dutch social-liberal party D66 and was the chairman of the board of its think-tank.
