EU citizen or >5 years in the Netherlands? Then you’re allowed to vote! An interactive dialogue with local politicians about the hot topics in Eindhoven for the upcoming elections.
Many international students are probably not aware that they may be able to vote in the upcoming municipal elections in the Netherlands on March 21. All EU citizens have the right to vote in municipal elections, as do non-EU citizens who have lived in the Netherlands for five years or more. You can find more info about this here.
In the Netherlands, the municipality decides on matters of local government. In Eindhoven these are issues such as student housing, climate policy, the expansion of Eindhoven Airport, local transport and security. Tonight is the opportunity for you to meet local politicians and join an interactive conversation about the hot topics that you can influence with your vote.
