Philosopher Jos de Mul outlines the future human being, the ultimate object of technology. With everyone's brain integrated into a global computer network. Unlimited and oppressive.

The current human being lives in an era in which biology and information science merge and converging technologies such as genetic modification, neural interfaces, artificial intelligence and robotics transform life on earth in a drastic way. Extra-, trans- and posthumanists dream of creating new life forms that will respectively improve, pass by, or even completely abandon the human life form as we know it. It is difficult to imagine what it would be like to be a trans- or post-human life form. Jos de Mul makes an attempt.
