SG@Plugged Festival: Flaire

Thursday, June 8 2023, 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM
Koeveld, TU/e campus
Price: Free (Student) Free (Others)

It's by far the best free outdoor music festival in Eindhoven and beyond. Powered by CHEOPS and Studium Generale: chill, rock and dance to the likes of the headliners Flaire and Vices.

A few years ago, some music loving students from the Built Environment study association CHEOPS decided to organize a festival… and KABOOMMM: a few years later it’s one of the best free music festivals in Eindhoven. We’re talking about Plugged, of course. Young, talented artists, good weather (the weather gods will take care of that), free admission, and…(here’s where the free part ends and the cheap part starts) beer, which results in an amazing vibe and a great festival.

What’s being said about Vices: 4 guys from Groningen will rock to the max with their mix of Brit-Pop and Surf-Rock. Imagine the love baby of The Strokes and Cage the Elephant with a live energy reminiscent of the old Chili Peppers. These are catchy names, but above all, The Vices are unprecedentedly themselves.

Also, on the SG-stage, we proudly present Flaire:

The umpteenth boy band or the next Gold Band? Straight from The Hague this trio is knocking on all the doors of the big festivals. Tender, sweet falsetto vocals on the one hand and pounding 90s electro beats on the other. From pop to happy hardcore: Flaire might just be the next big thing…, don’t miss out on it.

Just some random Plugged stats
In 2016, the Plugged Festival was ranked number one in the Festival Atlas 2016 in the innovation-index: no repetition of the same artists at the festival.

In the past, Plugged has seen acts like Lookapony, Mozes and the Firstborn, Canshaker Pi, Tape Toy, The Cool Quest, Waltzburg, Caïro Liberation Front and Fokke SImons. And for the fifth year in a row -- well, there was a party pooper named Corona tucked in between, of course -- Studium Generale will host the small stage which will feature student acts (to be announced on this web page soon).

No reservations needed. Just bring yourself, your friends, and good vibes.

So…let’s get prepped to get plugged.
