Shocking, horrific, beautiful and breathtaking. The World Press Photo exhibition shows the most special and confronting press photos of the year. It confronts you, makes you think about your own life and challenges you to keep looking.

The winner of the World Press Photo of the Year 2012, the Swedish Paul Hansen. The international jury selected his picture from the 103.481 photos, submitted by 5666 photographers. 'A picture that touches you on three levels, says Santiago Lyon, chairman of the jury of World Press Photo. The head: you see what the situation is. The heart: you understand that lives have been destroyed. And stomach, what is shown is terrible. "

The exhibition includes photographs of the 54 winners, including this year the Dutch  photgrapher Ananda van der Pluijm.
The  exhibition tours around the world and can be seen at about 100 different locations this year.

Opening hours:
Monday - Friday: 9.00 – 18.00 hours
Saturday and Sunday: 12.00 – 17.00 hours

The exhibition can be seen in the Hall of the TU/e mainbuilding and the Hall of the Kennispoort.

Entrance is free
