What is more fun than watching The Matrix? Talking to others about how awesome The Matrix is, of course! In Inside The Matrix we get together online to talk about The Matrix Trilogy and to delve deeper into what it is that makes it so great.

Have you been stuck at home, starting to wonder what is real? Studium Generale offers you a personal online course to become an expert on “The Matrix” franchise. In MS Teams, we will discuss The Matrix and its many different media outlets together, using both academic and popular sources. We have curated a list of articles, websites and documentaries that will help you to get to know this legendary trilogy in a new way.

Whether you check them out or not is up to you, but after two weeks we will gather online to discuss what we have seen and read. This final session will be hosted by Brendan Vos. Brendan is a teacher and filmmaker, who has taught courses on film analysis for SG in the past. He studied Cultural Studies and Media Studies at the universities of Nijmegen and Utrecht, and now lives in Eindhoven. He has worked for several (film)festivals and cinemas and currently organizes local exhibitions, talks and parties. He helped us curate this digital course and will participate as a moderator of Teams and the final online session.

Want to take the red pill? Subscribe to the Team (Inside The Matrix) via the portal or with this link. If you don't have a TU/e emailaccount, then please send an email to e.kalken@tue.nl. We will then add you to the  Team. Participation in the two weeks up to the talk is encouraged, but not required. Feel free to dive into the texts we have provided, asking questions along the way. Or, suggest some discussion topics and reading material yourself.
