Students who, alongside their studies, give themselves completely to music and rehearse to perform a phenomenal concert in a short period of time, that is exactly what the Nederlands Studenten Orkest (NSO, alias Dutch Student Orchestra) is all about. NSO concerts are known for their professional quality and for the brilliant atmosphere the students deliver. This year, the NSO, conducted by Jurjen Hempel, will perform Bruckner's beautiful Symphony No. 7 in E., as well as Edward Elgar's famous cello concerto in E.
Ella van Poucke, as soloist together with the orchestra, will interpret the beautiful melodies of this world-famous cello concerto. Composer Christiaan Richter has also created a commissioned composition Motion Blur Streaks, especially for the NSO.
